Recruiting clinical research volunteers
The Hong Kong United Oncology Centre is currently conducting an international Phase III clinical trial and is recruiting non-small cell lung cancer patients to participate in the Phase III clinical trial of the investigational drug pembrolizumab.
Research name：
A randomized, double-blind phase III study (KEYNOTE-789) of patients with metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with TKI-resistant and EGFR-mutant tumors treated with pemetrexed plus platinum-based chemotherapy, with or without pembrolizumab (MK-3475).

Patient eligibility：
1. If you have metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer with an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation, and previous EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment (such as gefitinib, erlotinib, afatinib, osimertinib) has been ineffective, you may be eligible to participate in this study.
2. For patients who have never used Osimertinib, a tissue examination is required to confirm that the tumor does not have the T790M drug resistance gene.
Research remuneration：
Transportation allowance is $200 (for each research visit), and related therapeutic drugs, imaging scans, and doctor's consultations are free of charge.
Research process：
Patients enrolled in the study will receive standard chemotherapy (pemetrexed and platinum-based chemotherapy) and will be randomly assigned to receive either the study drug (pembrolizumab) or a placebo concurrently until their condition worsens or they complete two years of treatment.
Related risks：
1. You may have side effects due to the drugs or procedures used in this study, but not everyone will have these side effects.
2. Side effects of pembrolizumab include: fatigue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, rash, hormonal changes, pneumonia, hepatitis, colitis, etc.
