Hello doctor, my brother is 55 years old and just had an X-ray. We found a 3-4 centimeter shadow and emphysema in his right lung. The hospital doctor suggested that a computer scan and bronchoscopy should be performed. I would like to ask if it is necessary to undergo bronchoscopy after completing the computer scan? Because of concerns that bronchoscopy is an invasive examination, there are risks involved

若然您哥哥是有吸煙的習慣(相信會有,因為肺氣腫多與吸煙相關),那麼便有很大機會患上肺癌。 與其做電腦素描, 我建議直接做正電子掃描(PET-CT),

My mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer, but the hospital test results don't even show the stage. The doctor says she needs a mastectomy (and a full mastectomy) to find out the stage. I want to ask if it's absolutely necessary to have the mastectomy done before finding out the stage? How long does it usually take for her to recover and be discharged from the hospital after surgery? (She is 60 years old and has diabetes.)

I found a lump in my left breast and had surgery to preserve my breast (removal of the lump and lymph node examination). The doctor said it was stage 1 breast cancer with no lymph node spread, but I need to have 4 rounds of chemotherapy and 30 rounds of radiotherapy. I would like to know what chemotherapy drugs are available? Which one is less painful?

相信醫生建議的是化療藥 Docetaxel(Taxotere) 及 Cyclophosphamide,簡稱 TC 化療方案,Docetaxel 是 T

In March of last year, an MRI scan at a government hospital revealed a shadow in his bladder area. After consulting with several private doctors, his experience suggested it was a tumor. Therefore, the tumor, approximately 1.5cm, was removed at a private hospital. The doctor advised that bladder cancer is prone to recurrence and that he should have a cystoscopy every three months for the first two years. He has already had two follow-up examinations, thankfully without recurrence. He will have his third examination next month. He would like to know if, besides tumor removal, any other treatments are needed to reduce the chance of recurrence. Thank you.

使用 Ribociclib 的時間較短,有可能一開始便存在抗藥性基因突變,例如PIK3CA 突變。 可考慮以抽血或組織做基因檢測發現 PIK3CA 或

Hello, my mother is 64 years old. She was diagnosed with stage 2A LELC lung cancer in September and subsequently underwent lung surgery. Her CEA level was around 8 at the time of diagnosis and after surgery. She then underwent four rounds of chemotherapy. However, after two rounds, her CEA level rose to 10.0, and only dropped back to 9 after the third round. 1. Is it normal for the CEA level to rise during chemotherapy? Does this indicate that the chemotherapy is ineffective or a relapse? 2. Furthermore, the attending physician suggested that she complete four rounds of chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy because the type of cancer is rare. However, my mother is quite weak after several rounds of chemotherapy, and we are worried that she may not be able to withstand the subsequent rounds. Therefore, we would like to consult the doctor about whether to continue with radiotherapy. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

1. CEA (癌胚抗原)一般在線癌類的腫瘤身上有一定機率可能會釋放,指數的上升下降可以間接粗略地推斷腫瘤治療的療效。 然而不是所有腫瘤亦會釋放,亦有

I had a left breast cancer removal surgery a few years ago. A recent X-ray showed calcifications, but their nature is still undetermined. I have to schedule another X-ray in a few months. However, I've been experiencing severe back pain lately, usually during my sleep, especially in the morning when I wake up. The pain is getting more and more serious. I'm also experiencing constant pain in the chest area where the calcifications are located, and my mouth tastes very bitter in the morning. Could this be a sign of a recurrence?
