Cancer information

Fellow Travelers Alliance Cancer Patients organized "Online Sharing Session for Prostate Cancer Patients" Theme: A brief discussion on advanced Prostate cancer Dr. Li Yu Chung, Jacky

Previous pagePreviousMy father (68 years old) was diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer at the end of March: an approximately 8.5cm gastric tumor with infiltration of the spleen and the distal pancreatic body and tail, up to 4.9cm diffuse liver metastases, metastatic lymph nodes seen in the upper abdomen, and a small amount of lower pelvic ascites. Is palliative care the only option? Also, my father has had a cough without phlegm for about a week and only saw his family doctor yesterday. However, he did not mention his cancer diagnosis at that time. Today, after taking the prescribed medications (Dhatifen, Ploton, Ipradol, Codaewon Tablet, and Casirol), he experienced unsteadiness and dizziness. Is this a symptom of common cold and flu medication or a sign of cancer metastasis? Thank you!
